Airdate: Movie: That’s Not My Dog!

Newly-released comedy film with an all-star cast is headed straight from cinemas to Stan.

Newly-released feature film That’s Not My Dog, starring Shane Jacobson, is getting a release on Stan straight from its cinema release.

The film directed by Dean Murphy (Charlie & Boots, Hanging with Hoges) had a 2 week cinema release on March 15 but will screen on Stan from Easter Saturday, March 31.

It features Jacobson inviting comedy pals to a party to share their 3 best jokes. In attendance are Paul Hogan, Jimeoin, Steve Vizard, Michala Banas, Fiona O’Loughlin, Tim Ferguson, Lehmo, Ed Kavalee, Marty Fields, Christie Whelan Browne, Ron Jacobson and Genevieve Morris.

Nick Forward, Stan’s Chief Content Officer said “Stan is thrilled to be collaborating with Dean Murphy & Shane Jacobson to premiere That’s Not My Dog! on Stan, hot on the heels of its cinema release. From the start, Stan has been committed to showcasing the wealth of talent we have in Australia & seeking out original, engaging local content to premiere to our subscribers and bringing That’s Not My Dog! to Stan further demonstrates this.”

Shane Jacobson said “I’m delighted that Stan is bringing That’s Not My Dog! into Australian homes this weekend. Audiences in cinemas all over the country have been bursting with laughter as many of the worlds greatest jokes are shared. I think it’s fantastic that Stan is supporting Aussie productions and helping us share this hilarious home grown film in Australian homes.”

That’s Not My Dog! which released in cinemas on March 15 through Transmission Films, is a joyous comedy that celebrates our love of joke telling. The film centres around the loveable Shane Jacobson (playing himself) who is throwing a party. Invited are the funniest people Shane knows comprising of Australia’s biggest stars along with several Australian music legends playing their biggest hits live, right throughout the party.

The invite that goes out is clear. Don’t bring meat. We’ll provide the beer. Just come armed with nothing but the funniest jokes you’ve ever heard. Shane will take care of the rest. It’ll be a night of great friends telling the world’s funniest jokes over a beer and BBQ.

  1. They showed some of this when Shane Jacobsen was on One Plus One – it looked great. One the best parts is that it seems that all these people are invited to honour Shane’s Dad and his love of storytelling.

  2. Michala Banas was a panelist on the RCH Good Friday Appeal on Seven (early evening) tonight and talked about it. Always liked her. Even filled in as “Libby” on Neighbours once!
