US fantasy series The Librarians has been axed after 4 seasons by TNT.
But showrunner Dean Devlin is hoping to find a new home for the series.
“Just got the official call. TNT has canceled #TheLibrarians— I will immediately begin the process of trying to move the show elsewhere. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!” he wrote on Twitter.
The series starred Rebecca Romijn, Christian Kane, Lindy Booth, John Harlan Kim, John Larroquette and Noah Wyle.
The decision comes shortly after Wyle signed on to star in racial drama, Red Line, from Greg Berlanti and Ava DuVernay.
The Librarians airs in Australia on Universal.

The Librarians could find itself a new home as it is a good time filler with experienced actors and production staff behind it, perhaps this could be another consideration for Netflix as they do seem keen on renewing old shows lately
The Librarians air on Syfy in Australia. It used to air on Universal, but no any more.
The episodes with Noah Wyle never reached the heights of the 3 movies and the episodes without him just weren’t very good IMHO.
