Legendary actress Cornelia Frances last night told A Current Affair she has loved every minute of playing some of TV’s toughest women on dramas such as The Young Doctors, Home and Away and Sons And Daughters.
“I’ve been very lucky, and I thanks all the producers who hired me,” she said.
But now she is in the fight of her life, battling bladder cancer.
“It’s a hard road, but we’ll get there,” she said.
“I’m feeling fine, albeit what’s inside me.
“I’m really feeling ok. The pain comes and goes but you expect that.
“It’s par for the course. We’re gonna fight it, by god I am.”
She’s been Australia’s favourite small screen villain for almost half a century. But TV legend Cornelia Frances is now facing a very real villain of her own. #9ACA https://t.co/t6FRB8Po0t pic.twitter.com/s5KHZqLcBz

Can’t believe she has never won a Logie. The down side of always playing a villain I guess.
