Did John Edward channel Princess Diana?

Crossing Over psychic delivers a fun, if inevitable, TV moment for "Royal butler" Paul Burrell.

It will go down as one of the year’s most inevitable TV moments.

World-renowned psychic John Edward went into the jungle on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here to give a group reading.

And with former Royal Butler in attendance it was only a matter of time before he turned his attention to a car crash incident. He never mentioned Princess Diana by name, but….

“They want to talk about the celebration of life, instead of the celebration of death,” he told Burrell.

“When we lose someone, sometimes that passing becomes what people define them as, and it’s like, no.”

But while he continued, his apparent accuracy in describing a room and asking why Paul moved a particular photo had the former butler captivated.

Paul replied: “You couldn’t possibly know that.”

This season has had an unhealthy preoccupation with death and supposedly talking to the other side, including questionable references to former TV presenter Charlotte Dawson by Jackie Gillies.

Gillies had been hoping to read for Paul Burrell, in what might have been her psychic headline, but it went to the Crossing Over star, sent in by producers.

It was a fun, if inevitable TV moment that filled his jungle brief (even if sceptic Danny Green didn’t want any part of it).

Still, where else on TV do you get a host who literally decides that with 2 psychics in the one place is enough to jump the shark?

  1. That awesome tucker trial last night outshone the presence of John Edwards imo. Danny Green is a legend. And Vicky and Lisa were great too. He couldn’t have done what he did without them. Mind you he managed to get that last star even though they dropped the rope.

      1. Yes, agree Danny is very likely to be in the final 3. After his shining performance in last night’s trial, he could well now even win.
Think it will be between Danny, Peter and Fiona…hope Pete wins though.

  2. The extraordinary power of google that gave John a sign that a friend of Paul’s had died in a car accident. Wow! Oh and had a picture of Diana’s bedroom exactly as she left it with piano, glass bird etc.

    1. I’m no septic ? but that’s exactly what I thought. So obvious that he’d done his research on everyone by watching the show and googling. Plus how on earth could he know the most intimate secrets of Paul Burrellls relationship with Diana. Er well maybe because blabbermouth Paul has written a book and told the entire world everything there is to tell. He talks about nothing else .

  3. Consider this – if psychic phenomena was even slightly possible, our entire scientific structure would have to be rewritten from the ground up, and the world would dramatically change as we used these techniques to benefit mankind.

This has not happened. All we have are some people who get voices whose names may have an M in it saying they are happy on the other side.

  4. I was blown away by some of the readings John would do on “Crossing Over”. It’s not about the stuff we all know, it’s the personal stuff that no one knows. When any psychic can do that, I think they are real. I’ve always believed in John. But I’m sceptical/cautious about others. There were several things that John said that only Paul knows (and the public didn’t). That’s the key.

    1. His TV show is very convincing but I see it more like a magic show. What we don’t see is behind the scenes of how many researchers he uses to talk & overhear conversations before the show is recorded and also blind readings is very convincing .

  5. I know there’s a lot of sceptics but I’ve always been fascinated by psychics. I know there a lot of charlatanas out there, but John Edwards seems to be the real deal. I for one was blown away last night. A lot of people mock psychics but people tend to make fun of things they don’t understand. I can’t wait to see what he says about Fiona tonight.
