Fiona O’Loughlin wins I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! 2018

Comedian beats singer & boxer for TEN 2018 Reality TV title.

Comedian Fiona O’Loughlin was last night announced as winner of TEN’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

O’Loughlin defeated singer Shannon Noll and boxer Danny Green who was second runner-up.

The finale capped off 6 weeks of isolation and extreme challenges for O’Loughlin whose personal story of overcoming alcoholism touched viewers.

O’Loughlin proved to be a grounded participant, including taking David Oldfield to task over his views on Indigenous Australia. Her comedic “Brenda & Ron” banter with comedy star Peter Rowsthorn were one of the show’s more colourful inclusions.

“I just feel like the luckiest duck alive,” she said.

“Without a doubt the jungle has changed me. I will never take anything for granted again.”

She wins $100,000 for her chosen charity, Angel Flight.

Meanwhile Shannon Noll has coming second in a reality series once again, but won a legion of new fans for his true-blue qualities.

“I wasn’t sure how I would go with this and I turned out to be way tougher than I thought it would be. I think it is great to test yourself. That is how you find out what you’re made of. I would love to not come second this time,” he said.

O’Loughlin becomes the second female to win the Aussie series, following Casey Donovan’s 2017 victory.

  1. There was a separate thread on another article relating to a potential skit based Brenda/Ron Show; But
What if CBS championed Fiona for her own Tonight style show? It’d be like Samantha Bee crossed with Jon Oliver

    1. Wasn’t that lovely. It wouldn’t have turned a chair on another notable competition show, but heartfelt with a husky voice. It was the first time I have heard that song and not thought it a cliche.

Lucky they showed that after the votes had closed or there would be claims that it was a deliberate ploy for votes.

  2. hope this is the last of this crap , 80% ot fta tv is reality tv and its all the worst tv . why dont networks make shows instead of this mindless tv

    1. They do make shows. Look around your guide and record. Networks keep making shows because people watch. I would encourage you to tell us more about the shows you do enjoy. Repeating yourself is not encouraged here thanks.

  3. Really pleased for Fiona – she’s been really entertaining and refreshingly honest about her self induced battle with alcohol.
Glad she’s been able to “come out the other side”, a stronger and wiser person.
    Really inspirational.
Congrats to Shannon as well – seems a lovely, calm person who didn’t have a bad word to say about anyone.

    1. He didn’t say anything of value at all. To me, his presence was not there. I couldn’t understand a word he said nor did i think he deserved to win. He was hoping for the sympathy vote for not winning Idol.

  4. I didn’t like the first 2 seasons winners so was happy to see Fiona win. Would have been happy for Nolsy to win too. I’ve always liked Fiona & she was very entertaining to watch.

  5. I think it’s great Fiona won. She was so raw and didn’t shy away on who she was. She talked about her alcohol issues openly, embraced the challenges and stood up for what she believed in.

Her stories were hilarious as well. Always thought she was one of our funniest comedians.

Hopefully it’s all onwards and upwards for her now
