5 Comments:

  1. Disappointed with those Adelaide ratings for the football. Last year prime time game ratings were near or over 200,000, considering how close last nights game was disappointing it didn’t rate higher.

    • Adelaide played disappointingly, perhaps that’s why? Maybe some fans need convincing after last year’s shock Grand Final result? Maybe many don’t like when they play away.

        • Look, I was partly being sarcastic to the original post. Think Ryan’s setting a pretty high bar. Adelaide is the smallest TV market and city in Australia, just over 1.5m population. Anything well north of 100k is always a very good number there.

  2. Seeing those ratings and mentioning what I did about the NRL Footy show and winning Logies in the other thread I’ve noticed an interesting trend.

That it is not just a peculiarity of the NRL Footy Show, with low rating The Project and The Living Room picking up awards for the shows and presenters (and we’re talking Best not Industry). With of course the low rating Channel 10 often leading in overall wins like last year winning 8 awards with the ABC and Foxtel coming in second on 7 awards (while 9 and 7 got 3 and 4). Ten and the ABC also tend to lead the Nominations as well with Last year the ABC having 40 and Ten 31 to Seven and Nine 22 and 20 nominations.
