Guesswork Television appoints Todd Abbott as Director of Programs & Development

Please Like Me producer to develop scripted and unscripted productions for Melbourne comedy producers.

Guesswork Television today announced that long-time collaborator Todd Abbott (pictured right) is joining the company as Director of Programs and Development.

Working alongside Director of Production Frank Bruzzese, he will develop Guesswork’s scripted and unscripted productions. Guesswork has close ties with ABC through its productions such as Rosehaven, Get Krack!n, The Weekly, Hard Quiz and a number of yet to be announced projects and developments, but also TEN and Foxtel.

Abbott was Executive Producer on Please Like Me across 4 seasons for Pigeon Fancier, and his credits include The Dream at the Olympic Games, Micallef Tonight, Judith Lucy’s Spiritual Journey, Warehouse Comedy Festival and Rove Live. He has spanned comedy, entertainment, documentary, factual, sport and current affairs, working in journalism prior to a career at the ABC as a development producer on triple j tv, Spicks and Specks and The Gruen Transfer.

Guesswork is part of theMelbourne-based Token Group led by Group Managing Director Kevin Whyte.

Abbott will principally work out of Guesswork’s Melbourne offices but will also spend time in their Surry Hills office.
