Nine nabs its first ratings week of the year

Ratings: In 2017 it took Nine until July to claim a week. Now the Olympics are over it already has a win.

Last year Nine did not win a ratings week until mid-July when the muscle of Australian Ninja Warrior & State of Origin ended 17 straight weeks by Seven.

This year it has won the third week thanks to Married at First Sight‘s domination over My Kitchen Rules -all 5 of Nine’s reality beat the best Seven could offer.

MAFS also managed to sideswipe Seven’s launch of Australian Spartan, which many have branded a Ninja copycat.

The end of the Winter Olympics also helped ABC, TEN & SBS to all increase share.

Nine also claimed the demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.
