Renewal for the US drama from "50 Cent" comes ahead of the 5th season premiere.

US drama Power has been renewed for a 6th season.
The renewal for the drama from Courtney Kemp and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson comes ahead of the 5th season premiere, due in July.
“As Power wraps production on season five, we want to acknowledge and thank our spectacular team for producing another great season,” Starz programming president Carmi Zlotnik said in a statement. “We are also pleased to announce a pickup for season six.”
Power screens in Australia on Stan and returns on July 2nd, same day as the US.

‘Power’ worked well at the start with it’s charismatic characters but has lost some of it’s ‘cool’ label as each season passes and the plot increasingly has to rely on the charmed lives of Tommy and Kanan, 50 cents character to provide some violent edginess, but I guess the show would definitely end its run if 50 Cent left.
