Returning: Footy Classified

AFL show returns for its twelfth season on Nine with Chris Judd joining the panel.

Footy Classified returns for its twelfth season tonight on Nine (Melb /Ade / Per) with Chris Judd joining the panel.

Garry Lyon has moved to FOX Sports after 12 years with Nine.

The AFL season kicks off on Thursday with the Footy Show airing on Wednesday night.

Dual Brownlow Medallist and AFL legend, Chris Judd, takes a seat at the desk in 2018. He is joined by hard-hitting footy journalists Craig Hutchison and Caroline Wilson, along with Essendon great Matthew Lloyd. Every footy story both on and off the field will be discussed, and heated debates will be sure to fire up with everyone on the panel known to hold passionate views about the game we all love.

Also returning this year are the Footy Classified favourite segments “Good Call, Bad Call” and “Caro’s Arrow”.

All the big topics ahead of another enormous year will be on the table, including a dissection of all the controversial off-season issues, and a look ahead at which teams will dominate in 2018.

10pm on Nine in Melbourne, Adelaide & Perth. Check local guides.

  1. Why the late start time? Even 9:30pm would’ve been better. Sadly network programming and ratings comes first. Why not broadcast live earlier in evening on 9Gem of Go! like they did for a period recently?

  2. Have always been an avid FC watcher but I’m concerned by the choice of Judd to replace Lyon. He may have an impressive footy CV but he’s boring as batshit.
