Rob Raschke resigns from SKY News

Executive Editor resigns from SKY following recent headlines.

SKY News Executive Editor Rob Raschke has resigned from the company after 2 years.

CEO and Managing Director Angelos Frangopolous sent a briefly worded email to staff today.

“I have today accepted the resignation of Rob Raschke as Executive Editor,” he noted.

The departure follows Raschke pleading guilty to assaulting his wife, Rachel, late last month.

He is also the subject of an apprehended violence order that states he must not approach or be in the company of his wife for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs.

Prior to his departure he has been on leave with SKY.

Raschke, 52, joined SKY News after almost 19 years with Seven, including three years as national director of news and 11 years as director of news in Brisbane.

He will be sentenced on April 11.
