The Feed interviews Steven Spielberg, Jack White.

Marc Fennell has all the fun, interviewing showbiz talent for SBS VICELAND.

The Feed host Marc Fennell interviews American indie rocker Jack White tonight and director Steven Spielberg next week.

Executive Producer Lanneke Hargreaves said: “Marc Fennell is one of the most talented interviewers working on television today. Whether he’s sitting down with the world’s biggest stars or chatting with everyday Australians from diverse walks of life, Marc’s thoughtful and genuine style brings honest moments of humanity out in everyone he speaks with.”

The full interview with Jack White will air tonight and the Steven Spielberg interview will air on Monday 2 April.

The Academy Award-winning director opens up about the movie that made him want to be a father and why a video game that he and Richard Dreyfuss found while filming Jaws changed his life. Spielberg also reveals why he was kicked off the set of an Alfred Hitchcock movie.

Jack White invites Australian television cameras into his Nashville studio for the first time ever. The indie iconoclast reveals the fascinating quirks that have gone into one of the world’s most famous rock careers, including why he still refuses to learn harmonica despite desperately wanting to play it and how he came to be a huge fan of Swedish pop music.

As social media shortens audience attention spans and the Facebook algorithm rewards short and snappy content, Marc Fennell’s interviews buck the trend. His one-on-one chats are almost always longer than seven minutes, yet they regularly go viral on social media.

Marc’s interview with diversionary justice campaigner Lana Sandas has been viewed nearly 13 million times on Facebook and was The Feed’s best performing piece of video in 2017. In fact, four of the top ten most-watched videos on The Feed’s Facebook page in 2017, comprising more than 35 million views, were Marc Fennell interviews.

7:30pm Monday – Thursday on SBS VICELAND.
