Cabin Fever, The Conjuring, The Human Centipede 2.... now are you really scared?

Netflix has revealed a list of 10 movies so scary that subscribers quit watching at the 70% mark.

Here are the ten, in no particular order, along with their Rotten Tomatoes score and IMDB ratings:

Cabin Fever (2016, RT: 0%, IMDB: 3.7)
Carnage Park (2016 RT: 61%, IMDB: 4.9)
México Bárbaro (2014, RT: 60%, IMDB: 4.9)
Piranha (2010, RT: 74%, IMDB: 5.5)
Raw (2016, RT: 90%, IMDB: 7.0)
Teeth (2007, RT: 80%, IMDB: 5.4)
The Conjuring (2013, RT: 86%, IMDB: 7.5)
The Human Centipede 2: Full Sequence (2011, RT: 30%, IMDB. 3.9)
The Void (2016, RT: 75%, IMDB: 5.8)
Jeruzalem (2015, RT: 59%, IMDB: 4.7)

Quizzed on whether people were turning off movies because they simply hated a movie, Netflix indicated those people turn it off well before watching 70%.

It’s always a matter of personal taste I guess but watching shows or movies dedicated to highly graphic gore, horror, high impact violence, including sadism involving slow mutilation and torture,or victims being consumed alive by psychopaths or hideous creatures should not be seen as a personal challenge to be overcome, it’s quite alright not to watch them.

  2. I am perfectly capable of stopping watching a movie at 70% if it hasn’t lived up to it’s early promise.

    I would guess there are literally more of those who turned it off late because it wasn’t scary enough, than because it was too scary.

  3. The Conjuring…just boring, so I quit. Cabin Fever…awesome, I have watched a few spin offs now. Piranha DD, is one of my all time favourites. The Centipede series just sounds yuk, so no desire to watch. The rest I am not familar with.
