Voting opens for 2018 Logie Awards

You can now cast your vote for the 60th TV Week Logies.

Voting has officially opened for the 2018 Logie Awards.

10 Most Popular categories for performers and productions are open to online public voting ahead of the 60th ceremony on the Gold Coast.

Due to the July 1st broadcast this year’s voting includes 2017 shows, plus those which air up until March 31st 2018.

The official site allows for 1 entry per person, but those which include a TV Week code word will receive further entries in a viewer competition.

“The moment has come for Australia to have its say,” TV Week editor Thomas Woodgate says. “It’s been another incredible year of television, so the competition in all categories will be fierce – especially in the race for the TV Week Gold Logie.

“Last year, we saw an impressive number of votes lodged and I expect us to break all records again this year. I urge everyone to get voting to make sure their favourite star and show makes the shortlist.”

Nominations will be announced on Sunday, May 27.

Live voting for the 10 Most Popular awards – including the Gold Logie – will reopen on Friday, June 29, and finish at the end of the red-carpet on Sunday, July 1st, broadcast by Nine.

  1. Why are shows like Bachelor in Paradise and Safe Harbour eligible? TV Week has lost it. I thought their eligibility period was clear: anything aired in the previous year. These shows haven’t even aired yet, who’s going to vote for them? And I echo the same sentiment about April Rose Pengilly from Neighbours who I don’t think is on air yet.

  2. While they’ve made some great changes, most notable reverting the “Best” categories to “Most Popular” and dropping some dud categories. However, it’s the same old problems in “Most Popular New Talent”. How can Marny Kennedy qualify for this category? She has worked in television since 2006, starring in children’s series Mortified, The Saddle Club, A Gurls World and the mini-series Conspiracy 365, plus a guest role in Rush.

  3. While voting for the Logies I saw April Rose Pengilly is in the best new talent category. I personally think she should be in next years nominees list because her first appearance on Neighbours is after the voting period opens.

    1. It’s actually very unfair for her. She would have had a better chance after being on screen for a longer period. Who would vote for her today, if they haven’t even seen her yet?
