Stan Walker: To Hell and Back charts his journey to recovery after he decided to document each step of his treatment.

“I wanted to make the documentary to help people and also to help myself process this whole thing. It was my idea. I like to use the best and worst parts of my life and to turn them into something creative,” says Walker.

Stan Walker: To Hell and Back charts the five-time ARIA-nominated performer’s journey to recovery after a devastating cancer diagnosis in 2017.

Facing an unknown and potentially terrifying outcome, Stan made the decision to document each step of his treatment.

The heart-rending footage is raw and intimate, yet ultimately uplifting. It is a portrait of Stan’s strength while facing a life-threatening illness.

The tender documentary also traces the remarkable history and unique bonds that unite his family while reflecting the honesty and sincerity that Stan shares with his fans.

The broadcast of Stan Walker: To Hell and Back coincides with the release of a new six-track, self-titled EP as Stan celebrates the opportunity to let his voice rise once more. 1. There was some speculation that he looked sick and lost a lot of weight. but nothing was confirmed. Now it makes sense. I hope he gets better.

  2. Is this a documentary or an advertorial or is it a docutorial? I am saddened by his cancer diagnosis but to release the documentary at the same time as new music makes it just. promotional stunt

    1. Even if it does have an element of promotion, he may need to recoup some funds because of not being able to work for sometime. Either way, it’s not harming anyone at all

      1. I agree, Gaz. Sounds like he has had to rally hard to get through it so bravo to him for being able to get back into a recording studio and get distribution etc. I hope he goes well
