In a very clever publicity stunt, SBS has seen Handmaids hit the streets of Sydney ahead of The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS tonight.
They took their message #RESISTSISTER to the CBD and interrupted a Gender Studies 101 lecture at Sydney University.
The series returns with a double episode at 8:30pm but will be available ay SBS On Demand from 5pm AEST.

They did exactly the same thing last year, but were walking around train stations etc
First episode was brilliant!! But deeply disturbing, I could only do one last night, will probably do the second tomorrow
I noticed they included a Lifeline disclaimer at the end of the first episode this season. Goes to show how heavy the material is.
Wow. Very clever publicity stunt.
I have to say, I’d freak out a little if I saw those red-robed women in Sydney’s streets. The first season of The Handmaid’s Tale is so bleak that I’m seriously wondering whether to venture into season 2.
That’s brilliant!
