Joan Collins joins American Horror Story

Ryan Murphy revealed select info over the 8th season of American Horror Story, including that Joan Collins would have a guest role (too much!).

Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Billy Eichner, Cheyenne Jackson, Adina Porter and Leslie Grossman will all return.

Collins will play the grandmother of Adina Porter’s character.

The season will take place in the near future, “18 months from today,” Murphy teased, urging fans to look up what might be taking place then.

The next season will be “heightened. It’s not necessarily as real and grounded as the past season. We’re sort of getting back to ‘Asylum’ and ‘Coven’. It’s that tone. That’s the tone of it,” said Murphy.

Paulson and Peters will also make their directorial debuts with filming to begin in June.

Murphy has also confirmed he is in talks with Anjelica Huston for an unspecified role.

Season 7 “Cult” is yet to begin in Australia on Showcase.
