Nickelodeon (US) is reviving famed kids game show Double Dare.
The show, which premiered in 1986, features two teams competing to win prizes by answering trivia questions, completing messy, physically challenging stunts and, finally, taking part in an oversized obstacle course.
Nickelodeon has ordered 40 new episodes of the show to “feature appearances from blasts from the past, longtime Double Dare fans and stars from today.”
An Australian edition aired on TEN, hosted by Gerry Sont, including an infamous primetime version as Family Double Dare hosted by Larry Emdur when US exec Bob Shanks tried to turn around the ailing TEN Network.
And they say TV is cyclical….
