Philip Brady celebrates 60 years in showbiz

TV and Radio veteran marks another milestone in his long career.

Showbiz veteran Phillip Brady yesterday marked 60 years in Entertainment.

Brady, 78, began working at Nine as a booth announcer on Easter Monday 1958, where he remained until 1971, predominantly as part of In Melbourne Tonight.

But he also hosted Concentration, Everybody’s Talking, Moneymakers, Junior Moneymakers, Casino Ten, Get the Message and Password for Nine and TEN.

Following his radio years at 3AK and 3AW, he returned to AW in March 1991 with longtime on-air partner Bruce Mansfield and returned to TV on Good Morning Australia in a cooking segment before regular Milestones & Tombstones nostalgie appearances.

He currently co-hosts late night chat show Nightline on 3AW with Simon Owens.
