Returning: Quiz Night

Community TV comedy quiz is back for a second season with host Anthony McCormack & "Cheesehead."

Community TV show Quiz Night produced by RMITV returns to C31 Melbourne and C44 Adelaide next week.

The show is described as a mix between comedy sketches and quiz show elements where host Anthony McCormack forces three comedians to compete for prizes from the show’s own mascot, “Cheesehead.”

Host Anthony McCormack: “The aim is to try everything we’d never get away with on a commercial network. If we want Australian TV to be a healthy garden we need a strong fertiliser and that’s what I’m hoping our show will be.”

Comedian guests on the first season included Dr Pam Rana (SBS Radio), Pat McCaffrie (Mad as Hell), Amberly Cull (Avenue Q) and improv and standup stars Amanda Buckley, Kirsty Webeck and Kelly Fastuca.

The six-episode second season is again produced by Mike Beckham (The Leak, About Tonight) and Zane De Courcy (Dil’s Roundtable with Dilruk Jayasinha).

“Australian community television and RMITV have a rich history but that history isn’t over yet,” says series producer Mike Beckham. “This is the only place where we can take the tired stale game show format and experiment with it, create something new and push the confines of what a game show can be.”

Monday April 30th at 8:30pm on C31 Melbourne / Geelong and Channel 44 Adelaide and available on YouTube and Facebook.
