US to remake The Wrong Mans

James Corden comedy about mistaken identity gets a Pilot order from Showtime in the US.

A pilot remake of UK comedy The Wrong Mans, created by James Corden and Matthew Baynton, has been greenlit by Showtime.

To be produced by J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Corden’s Fulwell 73 Productions, it will star Ben Schwartz (Roadies) and be written by Corden, Baynton and Ian Maxtone-Graham.

The Wrong Mans is a comedy about two ordinary office workers who have their menial existence turned upside-down by a chance phone call and a case of mistaken identity. The original series screened in Australia on ABC in 2014.

As a Showtime production this one is likely to screen here on Stan.
