NZ comedy stuntman Johnny 'Danger' Bennett best known for MTV viral videos, has died.

New Zealand comedy stuntman Johnny ‘Danger’ Bennett best known for MTV viral videos, has died aged 28.

He was killed yesterday during a motorcycle accident as part of an ANZAC Day ride on the Dairy Flat Highway in Albany, NZ.

The Kiwi daredevil, whose real name was John Bennett, gained thousands of followers for his comedy / stunt videos.

In 2017, MTV premiered his first web series MTV Presents: Johnny Danger with viral stunts, some of which raised the ire of local authorities.

In a statement MTV Australia / NZ said, “On behalf of everyone here at MTV we are absolutely devastated. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

“And to Johnny, we’ve truly lost one of the greats. We hope you’re cracking into the Danger’s Lager up there. Whenever we Swig, we’ll be doing it for you.”

MTV will air MTV Presents: Johnny Danger this Friday 27 April at 10pm in tribute.
