Premiere abandoned after Santa Fe High School shooting which left 10 people dead.

Netflix yesterday cancelled a Los Angeles premiere for 13 Reasons Why, following the Santa Fe High School shooting which left 10 people dead.

“Our hearts are with the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting, and with all victims of gun violence. In light of today’s tragedy, we are cancelling the 13 Reasons Why S2 premiere event tonight,” it said in a statement.

The event was expected to be attended by stars Katherine Langford, Dylan Minnette, Kate Walsh, and executive producer Selena Gomez.

Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the start of our characters’ complicated journeys toward healing and recovery. Liberty High prepares to go on trial, but someone will stop at nothing to keep the truth surrounding Hannah’s death concealed. A series of ominous polaroids lead Clay and his classmates to uncover a sickening secret and a conspiracy to cover it up.
