50,000 homecoming crowd for Netta in Tel Aviv

Eurovision winner Netta performed to a crowd of 50,000 adoring Israelis in Tel Aviv this week, following her triumph in Lisbon.

Prior to landing, she treated passengers on her El-Al flight to a reprise of “Toy”, with airline crew and passengers clapping along, followed by a short press conference at Ben-Gurion International Airport.

However Israel’s win is already igniting controversy with some calls to boycott 2019 due to Israeli / Palestinian conflict. Iceland is already starting that conversation.

Meanwhile the Brits are starting petitions to have SuRie return next year after her gallant performance interrupted by a stage protester.
