Ricky Gervais has a new 6 part comedy series, After Life, announced by Netflix.
The series follows Tony (Gervais), who had a perfect life. But after his wife Lisa suddenly dies, Tony changes. After contemplating taking his own life, he decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it’s like a Super Power — not caring about himself or anyone else — but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.
Gervais is creator, executive producer, star and director, with Charlie Hanson (Derek, Extras) to also executive produce.
The project appears to differ from another he was developing called Attached.
An airdate has not yet been announced.
In March 2018, Netflix released stand up special Humanity with a deal in place to release a second special at a later date.

i doubt that anything he does will be better than ‘The office’. An absolute masterpiece.
I thought Derek was just as brilliant.
Wow!, Netflix’s mega-honeypot of funding money is certainly attracting the big name big salary stars, some who must have a few long term pet TV and movie projects that no one else was interested in tucked up there sleeves. Netflix certainly have been putting big budgets into some B Grade projects recently, hopefully this wont be one of them.
Sounds good – I love nearly everything Ricky is involved in.
Absolute genius..
