Airdate: The Disappearance

2017 Canadian drama, including with Aden Young, is coming to Universal.

2017 Canadian drama The Disappearance begins on Universal later this month.

The 6 part series chronicles the inexplicable disappearance of a 10-year-old boy and its effect on his family.

The cast includes Peter Coyote, Camille Sullivan and Aussie-Canadian Aden Young.

Written by Normand Daneau & Geneviève Simard, originally as a French language drama, it debuted as an English language drama in Canada in October and the UK in February.

When Anthony Sullivan (Michael Riendeau: Real Detective, Early Winter) vanishes while on a birthday scavenger hunt arranged by his grandfather Henry, his family are left devastated.

As the family frantically search for any clue that could lead them to Anthony, long-held secrets are uncovered, threatening to tear the family apart.

Henry Sullivan (Peter Coyote: Patch Adams, A Walk to Remember) a retired judge and former prosecutor, begins his own investigation into Anthony’s disappearance, even though his involvement threatens to derail the police case.

As Anthony’s parents, Luke (Aden Young) and Helen (Camille Sullivan), desperately search for anything that could lead them to their son, tensions rise as Luke begins to suspect that his son’s disappearance could be connected to his father’s past.

Helen, willing to do anything to be reunited with her son, finds herself dangerously following any clue that could help her find Anthony.

8:30pm Tuesday May 22 on Universal.
