Axed: 9JKL, Scorpion, Kevin Can Wait.

More US titles reach their conclusion at the hands of TV execs.

New US comedy 9JKL has been axed by CBS.

The series sees star Mark Feuerstein playing an actor who moves back home to New York after his divorce. It was announced as part of TEN’s 2018 Upfronts but is yet to debut, now unlikely to be given a profile push.

CBS has also called time on action drama Scorpion after 4 seasons. The show’s ratings of 8.4m US viewers makes it the most-watched title among the flurry of cancellations this week. It screened in Australia on ELEVEN.

Meanwhile US comedy Kevin Can Wait, starring Kevin James, has been cancelled by CBS after two seasons.

The series underwent a creative overhaul between seasons one and two, but still suffered a big ratings slide.

It aired in Australia on Nine.
