Axed: iZombie to end with fifth season

Cult US comedy was recently renewed, but further news now confirms it will soon wrap up.

Cult US comedy iZombie will wrap up with its upcoming fifth season.

It was recently renewed by The CW but now the extra news confirms a conclusion.

The series, loosely based on a graphic novel series by writer Chris Roberson and artist Michael Allred, focuses upon Olivia “Liv” Moore (Rose McIver) – an overachieving medical student who finds her entire life upended after she becomes a zombie.

Despite a rabid fan-base and critical acclaim, iZombie was something of a cult hit, never quite winning the same level of popularity as The CW’s other series based on comic books.

iZombie airs in Australia on Stan.

  1. The New Seattle story arc has taken the show in a very different direction, they might have struggled to keep the stories going much longer once that is resolved.

  2. As I have said in the TV Lounge. I saw it coming but it being renewed restored my faith. It’s a shame it can’t continue. The current season has been it’s best. Hopefully season 5 brings it to a great conclusion.

  3. Devasted by this news iZombie was one of the few shows I still watch that I have loved every episode of. Why couldn’t it have been The Walking Dead ending I’m more ready to lose that.
