Filming for the second season of British-Canadian crime drama Tin Star is currently underway in Calgary, Canada.
Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks both return with Irish actor John Lynch, Romanian actress Anamaria Marinca and Canadian actress Jenessa Grant.
The cast for the 10-part series will also include Irish-Aussie Genevieve O’Reilly and Abigail Lawrie.
The series sees Roth stars as an alcoholic former London police detective who moves with his family to a small town at the edge of the Canadian Rockies to become the new police chief , however his past catches up with him, awakening his violent alter-ego.
The second season will pick up where the first left off. Anna seeks refuge from her parents with a family in a religious community near Little Big Bear. Lynch, Marinca and Grant play the members of the new family, which harbors its own secrets.
The second season is expected in 2019 on BBC First.

This is a gritty show with Roth in his element as a man barely in control of his darker self taking everyone close to him along for the ride. This show would have made an ideal True Detective revival.
