Gillian Anderson has signed onto an upcoming Netflix dramedy, Sex Education.
The X-Files star will play an uninhibited sex therapist whose son, played by Asa Butterfield (Merlin, Hugo, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas) is a socially awkward virgin who sets up an underground sex therapy clinic at his high school.
The UK-based series is due in 2019.
