Julie Goodwin pleads guilty, fined $600 for drink driving.

Inaugural MasterChef winner cops $600 fine & licence disqualification after pleading guilty to drink driving.

Inaugural MasterChef winner Julie Goodwin has been fined $600 fine and had her licence disqualified for six months after pleading guilty to mid-range drink driving in a NSW court today.

Goodwin registered .107 and was accused of doing a u-turn to avoid a breath-test on the New South Wales Central Coast last month.

Her lawyer described the offence as “very much out of character,” saying she “panicked” when she saw the RBT.

Goodwin made no comment outside court today.

Last month on social media she said, “I want to take the opportunity to offer a heartfelt and unreserved apology to my family, my colleagues, and to the broader community,” she said on social media.

“I would also like to apologise to everyone that has supported me over many years, I have let you all down.”
