  1. Not often that Seven & Nine share the hours for being 4th in a timeslot – 8.30 & 7.30. Love Island was always a big investment for online viewing on 9Now. I’m sure it’s smashing the online VPM ratings following in the footsteps of MAFS & Bach in Paradise. It’s the definition of guilty pleasure TV people would view on their own because they don’t want to admit to watching it

  2. I switched on TBYG for a minute last night, to see Hughesy (what is going on with his hair!) trying to guess what was on a plate of food using his toes (blindfolded)…that was about enough for me.
Never going to have a chance anyway in ratings vs Masterchef, House Rules & 7.30.

  3. Masterchef has be great so far….ratings deserved. Love Island would have to considered a huge flop. You would expect it to top the multi channels to be deemed successful, it’s not even in the top 20!

    1. i was actually expecting LI to top the multi top 20 and also crack into the overall top 20. As there was so much excitement about MAFS and the English version of the show, i have to say i was also expecting more. Not a good result (so far) from their rumored $10 million investment in the show.

      1. If Love Island cost a $10 million investment I think that’s pretty good value even with the ‘lower’ than expected ratings. $10 million investment for a show that airs 5 nights a week across 8+ weeks allows for 40+ hours of content.

At most (pretending that each episode only goes for an hour, but one of the two has already been longer) it cost $250,000 an hour. I think that’s great value for ‘local’ content that will continue to grow (added 30,000 viewers last night), be watched mostly by the 16-39 demographic (who are harder to advertise to as they are watched less live TV than other demographics) and will be a solid performer on 9now!

  4. Roseanne’s overall audience is decent – 733k across two nights. TEN clearly knows what it’s doing by airing it on consecutive nights. I’m really enjoying it!

  5. Obviously their schedule is better at retaining viewers, as opposed to 9Go, whose viewers have clearly come for Love Island and only Love Island. 7two seems to be similar bur not quite as bad for Lewis.

  6. Just wondering if TBYG is down as the current team captains don’t seem as engaging as Amanda, Charlie or Josh were…just saying.

    1. Agree with that notion – I was really excited for it to come back, but I’m finding it difficult to engage. I think it’ll be great when Hamish is on with Andy – as for the other two, finding them really dull.

      1. Yes I agree, I like Andy, but not sure about the other two. Still I think I miss Amanda too much as I loved this show when Amanda was a team captain, but I lost interest after the first episode this time around. Also I find that some of the challenges are too silly for me, but each to their own.

    2. TBH I forgot it was on, with CH7″s extreme over promotion on everything we religiously switch the channel, regardless of what station we on, and I forgot about it, shame, I love Micaulef & the show…

  7. David are you able to help explain how 7mate was the #1 multi-channel last night with an impressive 4.2%?

Because I’m struggling to see how a 30min episode of Pawn Stars and 70k-odd in 3 markets would help achieve that!?
