Oops. Today show rules Cash Call a winner after all…

We have an update for you on our Cash Call. We’ve reviewed the call and listened very carefully to the recording, and have determined that Steve did answer correctly with “I wake up with TODAY”.

It’s a winner! It’s not a winner. It’s a winner after all.

A man who answered Today‘s Cash Call with “Hello, I wake up with Today” sent the team into confusion today due to the extra “hello” in his greeting.

After some excitement, then confusion, he was deemed not a winner before Ben Fordham came back with the good news.

“We made a call earlier on and we didn’t know whether the caller had answered correctly. So we have got some good news for the man called Steve Donohue from Mollymook,” he said. “We have reviewed the call. We have listened very carefully to the recording. We have gone through the terms and conditions with a fine toothcomb. And the good news, for him, is he did answer correctly … So we do have a winner this morning.”
