Next month TLC returns realty series 90 Day Fiance.

Imagine meeting the love of your life halfway across the world then having just 90 days to get married. It’s an unconventional journey to matrimony, but it’s a reality that six new international couples will face, when 90 Day Fiancé returns to TLC on Sunday 17 June at 8.30pm.

Getting through customs is just the first of many hurdles these couples will need to overcome. Offering a unique look into the world of international dating and marriage, 90 Day Fiancé follows couples – each partner based in another country – as they attempt to overcome cultural barriers and family differences, while in search of true love that knows no borders.

This season, four men and two women travel to the United States on the unique K-1 ‘Fiancé’ visa, to live with their overseas partners for the first time. The couples must marry before their visas expire in 90 days, or the visiting partner will have to return home. They’ll have to overcome language barriers, culture shock and skeptical friends and family – with the added pressure of time, which starts ticking the moment they step foot on US soil.

We’ll follow the journeys of: Nicole and Azan, who are once again tackling long-distance, but now with Nicole’s 2-year old daughter in tow; David and Annie, who have a 24-year age difference; Molly and Luis, who are dealing with Molly’s teenage daughter wreaking havoc on their relationship; Elizabeth and Andrei, who are facing a battle with the visa process itself; Josh and Aika, who got engaged after spending just one week together; and Evelyn and David, who met through instant messaging on social media.

The stakes are incredibly high as these couples are forced to make a life-altering decision: get married or send their international mate home. Between pending visa interviews, concerned friends and family, and inevitable cultural differences, these couples will experience the gamut of relationship issues and more in the whirlwind 90 days. Whose journey will result in “I Do”: and who will be left alone on a long plane ride home?
