  1. Watching TBYG, the thing I was reminded of is how brilliant Shaun Micallef truly is. Even when a segment is languishing or something’s not working, he can find a way to make it work. Very talented man.
The only thing I’ll say is that I think they could have just added an extra team without needing to get rid of one. It felt a bit rough to think that “older” people just get sidelined, as though they don’t have anything to offer anymore.
And as others have mentioned, I missed Amanda too.

  2. I hope they do not mess this show around, stay at the one timeslot. Welcome back TAYG. It was sooooooo funny. Then HYBPA was great too. Monday nights is comedy night. Leave it that way! Love it.

  3. How good are Mondays now with Your Gen then HYBPA? Comedy full & reality free! It’s great. Great of 9 to put Your Gen on at 7.30 too – i hope they don’t push it back to clash with HYBPA. Was almost like stepping back in time – same game sounds. Although I did miss Shaun’s “and we come, as we inevitably must, to the endgame”. Also missed Amanda

  4. All I know is that my Monday nights is parked on the couch now.
    A veritable feast.
AFL 360, Last Week Tonight, Westworld, Takin’ ‘Bout Your Generation, Have You Been Paying Attention.
    Snacks, please!

      1. Sorry, I remembered seeing The Checkout and Hard Quiz in the tv guide in that slot, that’s all. Didn’t realise Think Tank had retaken the slot.

  5. Great to see Shaun and TBGY back again.
    Really enjoyed last night’s premier.
    Missing Amanda though.
No “baby boomers this time around…Bob Downe or Judith Lucy would have been good as team captain.

  6. Good to have TAYG and Micallef’s brand of insanity back. I think this was a case of poor scheduling that might catch up in recorded and streamed views.

  7. TBYG was always going to struggle in the ratings against two shows that are established and the main shows for Seven And Ten. Strange time slot .This type of show would normally air after 8:30

        1. Tuesday was also a regular slot – Shaun would sometimes drop subtle hints about viewers wanting to turn over to 7 for Packed to the Rafters after the final round was over

Wednesday was more commonly home to Thank God You’re Here, again in the 7:30pm slot

    1. I hope they continue in this time slot. A nice point of difference from the usual 7.30 Monday reality-based programming and a nice lead in (albeit on another network) to HYBPA?

  8. I loved having Your Gen back on our screens.
So good having Shaun doing what he does best.
The new captains work well too, have always been a fan of Robyn’s work. Andy is Andy and wasn’t really familiar with Laurence but he is adorable.
    So far so good.

    1. I had the chance of watching TBYG last night on 9now. Shaun was a fantastic host for this show. The theme music was changed as well as the desks.
