New HBO psychological thriller Sharp Objects is getting fast-tracked to Showcase early next month.
The series, starring Amy Adams will premiere at 11am AEST Monday, July 9, same day as the US, with a primetime repeat. Trying to put together a psychological puzzle from her past, she finds herself identifying with the young victims a bit too closely.
Sharp Objects co-stars Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Elizabeth Perkins, Matt Craven and young Australian actress Eliza Scanlen (Home and Away) in her breakout role as Adams’ 13- year-old half-sister, Amma.
Executive producers are Jason Blum, Charles Layton and Jessica Rhoades, as well as Amy Adams, Gillian Flynn, Marti Noxon, Jean-Marc Vallée, Nathan Ross and Gregg Fienberg.
Monday, July 9 from 11.00am AEST on Showcase (repeat at 8:30pm).
