It’s been a long time in the pipeline but ABC docudrama Blue Water Empire, is nearing the end of post-production.
The series, which tells the true story of the Torres Strait Islands, filmed in 2016Â in Far North Queensland and the Torres Straits,.
The impressive cast includes Jack Thompson, Ryan Corr, Damian Walshe-Howling, Aaron Fa’Aoso, Jimi Bani, Roy Billing, Geoff Morrell, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Peter Phelps, Merwez Whaleboat, Robert Mammone and Damian de Montemas plus local cast.
Produced by Lonestar Company, headed up by actors Aaron Fa’Aoso and Jimi Bani, and Bunya Productions (Mystery Road), it was due to screen in 2017.
ABC confirmed production was delayed and no broadcast date is available as yet.
