Fran Drescher teases The Nanny comeback

"We're working on a very big project," hints Fran Drescher.

Fran Drescher is teasing a comeback for The Nanny, her much-loved sitcom which ran from 1993 and 1999.

Drescher, now 60, was asked about a revival by Entertainment Tonight.

“We’re talking about it. Peter and I are talking about it,” Drescher said, referring to ex-husband and collaborator, Peter Marc Jacob, who co-created the sitcom with her. “We’re working on a very big project. It’s going to be very exciting for the fans, but I’m not at liberty to announce it yet. But it’s gonna be big.”

Of course that could mean movie, stage musical, podcast or more….

“The thing is our show would be the same characters 20 years later. We can’t just pick up where we left off,” she said. “But in a way, that could be really good because the show can have a whole fresh bend to it.”

    1. Yeah, I was just thinking that and Lauren Lane who played CC retired from acting years ago and is now a university lecturer and Benjamin Salisbury who played Brighton has not done anything since 2006.. she would be pulling a whole lot of people out of retirement to do it lol kudos if she can pull it off.
