Michael Slater has signed to Seven’s cricket commentary team.
He joins Ricky Ponting, and Damien Fleming for upcoming Test matches and Big Bash League.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Channel 7. I’ve been a long-time fan of their sports coverage – particularly live sport – and can’t wait to join the new team and help give Test cricket and the Big Bash a fresh look and approach,” he said.
Channel 7 Head of Cricket Dave Barham said: “We’re absolutely rapt to have Slats join our team. He is a class broadcaster who will bring experience to our Test coverage, and all his trade mark energy to our BBL.”
Seven’s six-year agreement with Cricket Australia begins this summer and runs through to 2024.

I don’t care anymore. I know it’s silly but taken the BBL from Ten when they took it from nowhere to now simply gets to me. As l said Ten should go and chase Baseball and grow that game in competition to other sport.
Have to say this works well into channel tens old nickname strategy
Punter, flemeo and slats,

Oh I am not happy ?
