Nine wins second ratings week

Ratings: Nine cleared the finish line led by Sport, while ABC scores with local Drama.

Nine has won its second ratings week of the year, thanks largely to the State of Origin -the biggest audience of the year so far at 2.32m viewers.

Seven narrowed the gap in recent days but it wasn’t enough to take glory -unless it can manage it in Timeshifted viewing, which it has done before.

House Rules was the top entertainment show of the week, with MasterChef Australia close behind.

Mystery Road proved a win for Australian drama, as ABC’s top performer of the week.

  1. Agree with Sully,
Seven could have won another week even with the State of Origin pulling in such a large viewing audience and it really was close considering this fact. I suppose a win is a win anyway and The Voice is a let down this year for nine in my opinion, wonder if they will renew it for next year?

          1. The fact that 7 came within 1.5% of winning the week shows just how bad it’s gotten for 9. In years gone by Origin week would have meant 9 won by a country mile. Will be interesting to see if 7 steal the win with catch up viewing!
