The secret is out….. the Queer Eye boys have been filming in Yass, near Canberra, this week.
Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Karamo Brown and Bobby Berk were in town yesterday for a “special makeover”.
A Netflix spokesperson told the Yass Tribune the crew chose the town for its name, resembling the YAAAASS catchcry. Geddit?
The mini “make-better” focuses on George, a cattle farmer and former rodeo cowboy who works with Jonathan, Tan and Karamo to take stock of his situation and grab life by the horns.
Meanwhile, Antoni and Bobby teamed up to raise the bar and give the local pub a much needed makeover, renovating the bistro and introducing a new signature dish to the menu.
The Mayor of Yass arrived at the end of the night and presented the Fab Five with tiaras, officially making them “YASS Queens.”
The special Aussie mini-makeover will be released on Netflix social channels on June 22, one week after the global launch of S2 on Netflix on June 15th.
Today the new-look Fab Five are in Sydney for promotion.

Brilliant show, compelling and fun. I love what Netflix have done to the format.
I guess it’s because “yass” is a flamboyant way of saying “yes”.
Love these boys! Saw them in Studio 10 this morning and they were hilarious and delightful. Can’t wait to hopefully see more interviews while they’re in town and can’t wait for the new season!
