Southern Cross Television will drop the SCA logo and replace it with Seven branding in Tasmania, Darwin, Remote Central and Eastern Australia, Spencer Gulf and Broken Hill markets.
In February SCA renewed its agreement with Seven for three years.
Southern Cross will continue to broadcast a one hour bulletin in Tasmania to be renamed as Seven News Tasmania and 30 minute bulletins in Broken Hill & Spencer Gulf to be known as Seven Local News.
The change takes effect from July 1st.

Just noticed on their YouTube that the rebrand never took effect. Any news on why?
Change has already happened in SA, Gts-bkn is now called 7 Port Pire
if only they brought 7flix and 7HD with the change . People can wish i guess
And for consistency’s sake. the 1-hour Seven News nightly bulletins, should be renamed Seven News Melbourne, Seven News Sydney, etc.
I was wondering how long this would take, makes sense really they carry 7 programming so why not.
Hopefully Prime7 makes this change as well. Their news branding is awful.
Yes, the so-called “updates” depend on what pics can be lifted from regional newspapers and ABC. Production and presentation is worse than original local stations in the 60s.
Most likely a condition of the new affiliation agreement. Surely it is not a cost cutting measure?
Will this change ratings?
No.
9 carries its own on channel 5/50
I’m confused.
SCA runs 7 programming in Tasmania and, I guess, WIN carries the TEN programmes.
Who carries the 9 signal?
Tasmanian Digital Television a joint venture between SCA & WIN carries 9 programming/branding in Tasmania.
TDT – co owned by WIN and Southern Cross. It was previously Ten before the Win / Nine change.
It is a joint venture, as stated here by others.
Hasn’t been called TDT since the affiliation swap. Is now simply referred to as 9.
