Tip the Logies! 2018

Can we collectively pick this year's winners?

It’s time once again to see if we can successfully predict the TV Week Logies Awards in the annual Tip the Logies! survey.

The survey is designed to elicit answers from a large group of TV fans, just like the awards themselves, to see if we can predict the likely winners. Last year readers correctly tipped 6 of 12 popular categories.

But it works best if we follow the same principle of  choosing who you would LIKE to see win, not who you THINK will win.

As such it is confined to the Popular categories only (with Hall of Fame thrown in to see if any common responses hint at a leak). No prize is offered and no reader will be announced for guessing the most correct responses.

Survey closes 5pm AEST Friday June 29.

Voting requires a valid email.

  1. I agree. Survivor and MasterChef break the mould of Aussie reality with excellent production values and certainly in MasterChef’s case, a focus on talent and staying true to its original brief. Both shows are Aussie brands (admittedly of international formats) we should be proud of and deserve recognition.

  2. So many categories where I needed a “none of the above” option! This years nominations seem totally out of touch with what people are actually watching.

    1. Fiona, like what shows? Because I have thought that for many years when I see numerous channel 10 shows on the list but have poor ratings for eg shows consistently beaten by other channels such as The Project and Studio 10.

  3. Oh you gotta love Logies time. Always so controversial. I think the funniest category is The Best New Talent, this year nearly beats the year when Benji (or Joel, I always get them mixed up) Madden won !!

  4. Wentworth or DoctorDoctor for Drama award, Tracey Grimshaw for Gold and Best Presenter, The living room,Aaron Jeffrey and Julia Morris to win,
i’d like to see MAFS win but i think it’ll be The Block and The Ashes to win.

  5. I made a list of who I voted for in the TV Week & half of them didn’t even get nominated. Really annoying when that happens. I voted for Peter Helliar for the Gold, I thought it was his turn, Sean Micallef for Presenter. I vote for him every year & he’s never nominated. And Survivor for Reality. Can’t believe neither that or MasterChef were nominated this year.

    1. That’s is exactly what is wrong with the Logies… it is nobody’s turn to win… you have to deserve it and earn the respect of your peers and viewers. You shouldn’t win one just for turning up.
