New US drama 9-1-1 will air on Seven from next week.
The drama by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuck (American Horror Story, Glee, Nip / Tuck, Pose) explores the high-pressure lives of US police officers, paramedics and firefighters.
This premiered in the US in January.
Academy Award and Emmy Award nominee Angela Bassett (American Horror Story, What’s Love Got to Do with It) stars as Detective Athena Grant, who handles cases that require her sharp mind and expertise, while also trying to juggle her own family dramas.
Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Peter Krause (The Catch, Six Feet Under) stars as Bobby Nash, whose team of firefighters help execute the daring rescues that often come along with these life-threatening situations.
Emmy Award nominee Connie Britton (Nashville, Friday Night Lights, American Horror Story) stars as Abby Clark, who spends her days taking and fielding emergency calls at the 911 call centre, but constantly desires to know what happens after she sends help.
9pm Wednesday August 1 on Seven.

I like the look of this show. I’m looking forward to it.
Third Watch anyone?
Not quite, episodes are loosely based on real life 911 calls.
Season 2 starts in the US on 23 September.
I quite enjoyed this. Just don’t take it too seriously though.
Agreed, just go with the rollercoaster, way better than the Shondaland fire department show…
