Greg Thomson has resigned from both SKY News & FOX Sports following his outburst at a charity event in Sydney.
Footage became public of Thomson swearing on stage at an event held for disability support group Inala. He was suspended pending a SKY News investigation.
Yesterday CEO & Managing Editor Angelos Frangopoulos sent a note to staff.
“Greg Thomson has resigned from Australian News Channel,” he wrote.
“I would like to thank Greg for is contribution to ANC and wish him all the best for the future.”
Yesterday Thomson apologised for his actions.
I wanted to let you know I’m resigning from @SkyNewsAust and @FOXSportsNews. A big thank you to the team at ANC. I sincerely apologise to Inala, the organisers, sponsors and those attending last week’s fundraiser. I deeply regret taking some of the shine off Inala’s great work.

Thomson re-joined SKY News in 2015 as sports presenter before becoming co-anchor of Saturday Edition and Sunday Edition this year.

First my comment was a tongue in cheek. But gauging from the limited vision, the audience were probably as rude as Greg T. Unruly and unresponsive at a charity event. If I’m wrong my apologies.
Appears to be the end of the event, they were right to ignore conduct on stage.
I don’t think what happens was worth resigning over. A couple of week ‘rest’ would have been ok and all forgotten
Yes bad choice of words as MC, but the attendees should get a ban as well.
I did enjoy Greg on fox Sports News.
Why?
