LEGO Masters confirmed for Nine

Family entertainment series sees 8 teams challenged in their best brick-building skills.

As tipped by TV Tonight, Nine has confirmed it has commissioned UK format LEGO Masters for Australia.

The series from producers Endemol Shine Australia will challenge eight pairs of LEGO enthusiasts in creativity, design and flair.

Michael Healy, Director of Television for Nine, said: “We are excited that LEGO Masters will capture the imagination of all generations, delivering appointment family viewing.”

Mark Fennessy, CEO, Endemol Shine Australia, said: “LEGO Masters is pure, addictive family entertainment that all starts with a single brick. Together with our partners at Nine we’re super excited to bring this much-loved phenomenon to life – introducing a new world of extraordinary characters and mind-blowing creations.”

Casting is now underway for the series to debut in 2019.

  1. Yep this could have legs, depends on how long they make the series though as the UK one was 4 x 45 min episodes only with series 2 to have 5 episodes. I think that is a crucial part of it and why in the UK it was one of the most popular peak-time series in the 4-15 age group, not too long to have them distracted away and of course is good for Lego.

    Something about it is enticing and even had me think next on the agenda should be Kevin McCloud presents Grand Designs: Lego, guess the inner child is still sparking inside this 57 year old male.
