Media Watch last night identified that plans to rebrand Southern Cross News as 7 News Tasmania did not proceed on July 1st as announced.
Southern Cross CEO Grant Blackley told ABC, “Seven felt they shouldn’t have their name on it if they didn’t control the output and we’re respectful of that.
“If we did anything right or wrong they would be associated with it.
“So, we’re coming up with a new independent brand.”

So did they change from Southern Cross Television to Seven Tasmania or is that frozen as well?
Gosh, is that a recent screen grab? It looks so early 90’s
It is their current set, as shown on Media Watch.
Isn’t this something you sort out before you announce name changes?
And I identified that last week on the original post! ?
Surely they saw this coming after the 9 News changeover. Plus did they ask 7 before they announced it? Like….what a mess!
You know thats very clever of 7, i mean take a look at some of the Prime7 news bulletins.. they must be barely happy with some of those outputs.
