US action series Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger has been renewed up for a second season by cable network Freeform.

The series stars Olivia Holt and Aubrey Joseph as two teenagers who acquire superpowers and get romantic. This is based on the comic characters and co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios.

The show will return with ten all-new episodes in 2019.

It airs in Australia on FOX8.

Cloak & Dagger relies a lot on the charisma of the main young actors for it’s success, but the story gives the suspicion that it may run out of steam if the writers aren’t careful, there’s only so far that racial and social issues can carry a show though Luke Cage and Black Lightning are not doing too badly.

  2. I’m loving this show. Some very key differences between it and the original comic series but I think they’ve contemporarised it very respectfully.
