Long-running TEN show Sports Tonight is now confirmed to return as a weekly show, with host Matt White.

It resumes Sunday July 15 after seven-years off air with Josh Gibson and Laurie Daley as panelists.

“It is fantastic to be bringing Sports Tonight back in a rejuvenated style. This is a sports news show which won’t disappoint and will bring all the latest sports scores, highlights, expert opinion, interviews and analysis to viewers,” said Matt White.

“We are introducing a number of new and exciting segments, as well as including the much-loved Play Of The Day. We plan to have a lot of fun each week.”

  1. I also would have preferred if this show was how it used to be – an half hour sports show that aired after Ten’s Late News. But nonetheless, am glad its back in some capacity.

I wonder if Ten would air Sports Tonight at 6pm on the weekends down the track? Got nothing to lose, since Family Few wont be airing on Sundays anymore, and nothing rates well on Saturdays at 6pm either.

  2. I thought 10.30PM…with a lead in of late news would be great…
But reading comments…6PM each night sounds good…after news…might be a good lead in to the evening….
    Once a week…strange time….hmm…may watch on Tenplay…if it it working okay….

  3. No matter what channel 10 does they can’t seem to win . Complain Complain Complain . ??
Record it and watch it in your own time , or stream . Lovers of the show just be grateful it’s back ?? ??

  4. Yeah I fully expected 6pm. Now its just gonna have a different start time every week. Especially if Survivor is 70 mins one week and then 100mins the following week.
    Anyway Ten Knows best

  5. Agree re the time slot – seems odd. Are they really thinking people will watch Sports Tonight straight after Masterchef or remember to turn to Ten at 9.15? I thought they might put it on at 6pm Sunday which would make more sense.

  6. Great idea, baffling timeslot. When will networks understand we want consistent on the hour/half-hour programming? I certainly won’t remember to stop what I’m doing at 9:15pm and turn over to TEN.
