Seven stretching House Rules

House Rules viewers take note, next week it will air only on Sunday & Monday.

House Rules viewers take note, next week it will air only on Sunday & Monday, with three teams remaining.

Seven will then hit the pause button and presumably stage a finale on either Sunday 22nd or Monday 23rd July.

It does love to drag things out for viewers, but it may cop some criticism for doing such.

Next Tuesday is a Home & Away special while Wednesday will premiere The Single Wives.

  1. My EPG says that the HR ep on Tuesday 24th July will reveal the two Grand Finalists. So I’m thinking the Grand Final will be the following Sunday, July 29th.

  2. Stretching it out- that’s an understatement. They’ve been stretching House Rules out since it began. How do you make a 1/2 hour show into an hour plus show? Keep repeating the same bits over and over and over and over again! I like the reveals but record the show so that I can skip through at a pace faster than the show itself. If I don’t get this finished I think we’ll be going home – do tell 🙂

  3. A least House Rules is consistent – constantly third in the slot it appears.
No match for Ninja or Masterchef overall except in Perth where Seven Rules.
Wonder whether they will exhume this hard hat has-been for another season of mediocrity ?

  4. The judging of this final round of backyards will be next Sunday and Monday, and then there is another whole house renovation to be done for a single mum who list her husband in an accident. I’d be surprised if that reno and finale is completed by the 25th and 26th of July. Perhaps the week after that.

        1. It appears the finale won’t be until Sunday 29th at the earliest now. The semifinals challenge starts on Sunday and is judged on Tuesday 24th, so the final challenge must start on the Wednesday and finale on Sunday.

  5. They have done his before, but I think it is keep viewers glued while Ninja is in Nine. Not sure where and when they’ll launch Dance Boss, but up against Ninja it would struggle.
DB seems like light hearted entertainment, but I worry it’ll be on multiple nights and also be stretched out with back stories etc.
